The developments of department are used:

• in development of standards of fatigue calculation of welded structures in machine building and construction;
• in order to increase fatigue strength of welded joints of metal structures in shipbuilding and bridge construction;
• in determination of residual life on criterion of fatigue strength of solid wall welded spans of railway bridges;
• in selection of materials and welding technologies, grounding of the requirements to margins of metal toughness for welded joints of critical structures, including gas- and oil main pipelines of big diameter, spans of automotive and railway bridges, bearing elements of airplanes, high-pressure vessels and tanks.
